If you are up to date,

Secure IE Homepage
Setting the options for securing against scripts hijacking the Internet Explorer homepage are made here.

Set the page you would like Parental Filter to maintain and then click apply. An additional option was give Internet Explorer the capability of randomly redirecting. In the same fashion that redirection occurs so does Internet Explorers start page. To try it select the option and start Internet Explorer. Then click home a few times, you are redirected to a different page depending on the redirection list box sites.

CPU Throttle
You can adjust how much of your computer resources to allocate to Parental Filter. Give it more and protection is better yet at the cost of you precious computer resources.

Use the slider to select how many scans per second. Then click apply to set it. 2 to 5 scans per second is a good overall figure. Going left is more scans per second, going right is less scans per second. Its a little upside down but then again so is my mathematical skills.
