Blocked Words


Here is a list of all the words we have defined and are now blocked. Future updates will address more words. You can also aid in this procedure. When a word is this list appears in a website, the website is blocked. Due to time constraints the offending window is closed. If a word is not in this list and does not appear on the website it is not blocked.

Add a new blocked word

You can add a new site to block or ban. This will allow you to increase the amount of websites you deem inapropiate. Clicking on the Add button brings up the following display.

Enter a new word in the textbox. Be careful as Parental Filter only needs the word to be in the sentence for it to activate. For example their is no point putting the words, porn and pornstars, porn will activate when pornstars is found. In this case watch out for words like butt, as the button will also be blocked. As a precaution the last word filtered is displayed so while using the Internet if a word is banned that should not be banned you should remove it. After this click the add button, it is added to the list and is now blocked.

Remove a blocked word

You can remove a blocked word simply by clicking the word you want to remove and then clicking the remove button. You will not see the word in the listbox and know it has been removed.

You can add and remove words as you please, if you remove all the words Parental Filter is not blocking any websites.
