GSM / WiFi Home Desk Phones

Here is a small list of phones that look like conventional landline phones but use Wifi or CDMA/GSM to make calls. They do have battery life built in as well and optionally provide your own UPS system for more backup.

We would like to see many connect options starting with cabled ethernet, WiFI, GSM and finally satellite in that order and the end user can activate one or more mediums for making calls. Phone opts for Wifi when available and then GSM if Wifi is not available.

We would also like to see a nice size lithium ion battery to keep it on standby for emergency calls if the power goes out.

Finally special keys for the elderly and the disabled such as the SOS button and speed dial.

The current generation does not do this but they are listed below.

Your are also able to send and receive text messages with these, a little like the teletext machines used to but all on computer screen.
