 +A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 2, 10 AM at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. Mary’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk, on Monday from 6-8 PM. Donations in Mary’s name may be made to the CT Hospice Foundation, 110 Barnes Rd., Wallingford, CT, 06492-1802.

 +Mary Nuzzo Ganino, age 97 and former longtime Norwalk resident, died peacefully at the Hartford Hospital on July 29, 2011. She was the wife of the late Salvatore Ganino for 67 years. Mary was born in Fairfield, CT on December 12, 1913, daughter of the late Rocco and Angelina Renzulli Nuzzo and has lived in the Hartford area for the past 9 years. She worked for Pequot Wire Cloth until 1955 and retired from the Burndy Corporation. Mary was very dedicated to her family and loved every moment spent with them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 +Mary is survived by her children Salvatore A. Ganino and his wife Barbara of Schenectady, NY, and Maryann Winnick and her husband Larry of West Hartford, CT, her daughter-in-law Kathy Ganino of Pasadena, CA, her brother Salvatore Nuzzo, her sisters Melinda Coppolo, Mafalda Signore and Angelina Conte, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mary was also predeceased by her son Joseph Ganino.
